Pokemon Black and White 2 Announced
------------------------------------------------------by Bronwyn Fraser
Official Pokemon television program, Pokemon Smash, (aired in Japan) has announced that Pokemon Black and White, the last instalments in the main Pokemon franchise, will be receiving a sequel. Or sequels, if you count it as two games.
All to be found is a title. Whether the game will be in the same style as its predecessor, with the same characters or even the same region, is unknown.

The sequel(s), at least in the West (based on the official US site), will be known as Pokemon White 2 and Pokemon Black 2. But links to the site have not yet cropped up on other Pokemon websites (such as the Australian). The Legendaries for the game appear on the website and seem to be keeping the dinosaur trend the legendaries have been following since Pearl and Diamond.
Like with the original Black and White, the Legendaries look like binaries of one another - this time to the extent of being exactly the same Pokemon with an opposite colour scheme.
Heart Gold and Soul Silver each received a remake, and Platinum was something of an enhanced version of Diamond and Pearl. The same goes for what Emerald, Ruby and Sapphire were to Green, Red and Blue (keeping up, Poke-fans?). But, this is the first direct sequel.
The website ends with 'coming soon', so we will keep you updated as more details emerge.
